Happy to see a nonprofit following its mission and committing the bulk of their resources to their clients and staff.Ive supported and worked with CN Guidance for more than a decade and Im always touched by the countless folks who share amazing stories of recovery and dont get a chance to or choose not to post their personal info in a review.Now working with the agency directly I can see the data on our positive impact and its hard to overstate how much the folks on the frontlines do to reduce hospitalizations provide quality care and help clients achieve healthier outcomes.Being a difficult field of service the submitted reviews skew one direction but proud of these folks who never stop fighting for those they serve across Long Island

Yet another crown jewel in the absolutely abysmal mental health care system we have in this country. Dont take my word for it just take a look at all of the other reviews. Central Nassau Guidance is simply a mill that could not care less about you or your loved one. My mother is the unfortunate patient of this facility through AOT and victim of total apathy and utter negligence by her care team. My family and I have made repeated attempts to reach her overseeing doctor NP and even the director of the program - no one can bother to return our calls. Its impossible to reach a human being. Sherri Kaplan is just another number in the phone tree that goes straight to voicemail. There is absolutely zero communication. As her family we are trying to work with this team to get my mother well again - while their sole interest seems to be in continuing to bill her Medicaid. They ought to be audited by New York State DOH.Ill never understand why people go into health care who so blatantly dont care about the patients theyre supposed to be helping.

I have been getting therapy and seeing a psychiatrist from CNG for 4 years now. Every single month I have to call SEVERAL times just to get my medication sent to my pharmacy. My psychiatrist is completely useless. She does not send my medication on time and classified me as a lower risk patient. How would she know when she only talks to me for TWO MINUTES on the phone I have not had a psych evaluation in a year and a half. My therapist refers to my girlfriend as my friend because shes lowkey homophobic. I hate that I have to get treatment from this place. It sucks.

I would highly recommend CN Guidance Counseling Services for my family and friends. As an employee I witness firsthand the exceptional care and commitment every staff member has towards our clients and their well-being. Driven by our mission CN Guidance truly makes a positive impact in the community.

Been coming here for a decade while they have helped me in many ways in my life. Often theyre completely useless. I get very little actual therapy just blunt things to do and work on. The therapist change every year and some are good most are bad.their care coordinators are useless. I had one guy who was great and helped me a lot. the rest didnt want to even be there.Ive had several psychiatrist. One was a medication nut who wanted me on everything under the sun. But she would do a lot for me. Went out of her way to try to have me committed.The other doesnt want to fill any paperwork and practically lets me choose my meds. I dont know if this is a good thing

Caitlin R Roeder who works as a therapist here gives this establishment a 5 star review here. Also does Kerry Roeder a family member. Very pathetic that you need to deceive people so much so that you have to state this is a great place when many people have given you one star and are very extremely disappointed with their experience here. There are other employees on here giving 5 star ratings to counter balance all the real 1 star reviews.

This counseling center is AWFUL. The doctors DO NOT know how to schedule appointments . The doctors DO NOT know how to send prescriptions. My child.

I have been fortunate to have an amazing therapist but recently a nurse named Elizabeth called me unexpectedly and started yelling at me accusing me of missing an appointment. I explained that I did see my therapist and hadnt missed any appointments but she continued to speak over me and eventually transferred the call to my therapist. This was completely unacceptable as I did not miss any appointments.I called the office and spoke with the supervisor demanding an apology from the nurse. The supervisor checked the system and informed me that I had indeed missed an appointment scheduled after my therapist session. However I was never informed about this additional appointmentno reminders no texts. They scheduled an appointment without my knowledge and then yelled at me for missing it This is supposed to be a mental health clinic.

Therapists have a habit of having discussions with parents regarding confidential client information loudly in the shared waiting room instead of taking the parents into their individual offices. I have walked out of the room multiple times so I would not hear as they discussed other peoples sessions and information in front of me and multiple people in the waiting room. Our therapist is great and does not do this. However the manager of the location should train the staff not to do this as it is inappropriate.

Dont go anywhere near this Mental Health Housing Agency. In my opinion the abuse and neglect you will get from various staff members is beyond thinkable and criminal. You concerns will never be taken seriously. You will be forced to live in a firetrap apartment like I have been for over 6 months. I have reported the agency several times to the Fire Marshal and still none of the dangerous safety hazards getting fixed or taken seriously at all by C.N.G. agency. I have been asking various staff to move me to a better housing agency over the past 15 years and still not been taken care of as promised from staff. I have no where else to go or I would have moved years ago but get no help from anyone anyhow in this place period. Run as far away as you can from this place if you cherish you life and safety.

I was very unhappy with this place. My daughter had a Psychiatrist appt to get reevaluated and the Dr spent the whole time talking to both of us not her alone never got a diagnosis and she had one therapist visit and then after missing one they dismissed her saying you cant miss appts. They knew how she was as I told them but it didnt matter. Find some place else for you and your family. This is not the place

Absolutely the worst experience you can go through is dealing with this place. It shows as the employees are not only hostile but extremely rude and.

They saved my life multiple times mentally and I feel great thank you for all the help you have given me
